Review: The ‘Charity Month’ June 2009

The first ‘Charity Month’ in June set up by HELP Jamaica! consisted of 12 events in 12 different cities all over Germany and in Maastricht (NL) and Budapest (HU).

With the help of Promoters, Venues, Soundsystems and of course those who attended the dances it really became a complete success!

There were 3500 people overall attending the events of the ‘Charity Month’ and we could fundraise a total sum of 7600,- EUR!

This money will be used to build and establish our first own Reading & Education Center operated by HELP Jamaica!

But not only the money is of importance, many people got information about the work, aims and goals of HELP Jamaica! at these events. We received a lot of positive feedback and found many new supporters.

We would like to say thanks to everybody who turned out and to all Artists, Soundsystems, Djs who all volunteered and played for free during the ‘Charity Month’ to support HELP Jamaica!
